Welcome to Radio Vagabond!
Musicians don’t like labels. That’s why “Americana” music is as good a label as any to catagorize this station. Americana music incorporates the best in country, alt-country, folk, blues, bluegrass, rockabilly and alt-rock. One doesn’t even have to be from America to be considered “Americana”. This is great music, most of it under-exposed. I hope you enjoy listening to Radio Vagabond as much as I enjoy programming it!

I’ve been streaming your station, and love that you are doing eclectic and progressive new music – and from a regional perspective too. There is an artist I love and really wish you would play named Chris Daniels and his new record has a couple tunes I think that would be awesome on the Mix. My favorite song off the record is called Better Days and can’t get enough of it – it’s one of those songs to wake up to and tell yourself it’s going to be a better day as you sing along. I think it would blend in to your show nicely too.
Anyway, I would love for you to play it or -any- of the songs off the record, which I believe is called “Better Days” as well.

I’ve known Chris Daniels since my brief tenure as KCUV AM’s music director many years ago in Denver. He had sent me a limited edition copy of Better Days but I was reluctant to add anything due to its scarcity. But I saw him in Nashville last week and he gave me a standard run copy of the disc. I plan to revisit it and add something within the next 2 weeks. I thank you for your interest in Radio Vagabond and Americana music.
